Efficient control of grinding and milling depends upon accurate screen analyses. The screening operation is performed by this Kani Karan Asia Laboratory Screen Analysis Unit with greatest possible speed. The gyrating motion of the suspended shaking mechanism is such that the sample passes through very rapidly while three spring attachments tap the sides of the successive sieves to prevent particles from adhering or agglomerating. The final product is received in a bottom pan. The high efficiency and low cost of the Screen Analysis Unit makes it indispensable in any laboratory. The standard shaking unit consists of the vibrator mechanism and rack which is suspended to provide full gravity action in the screening process. The mechanism is powered by a 0.25 H.P. motor. The unit accommodates eight full-height or sixteen half-height standard 8-inch Tyler Sieves, with cover and bottom pan. The standard screening set includes the following mesh sizes: 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 14, 20, 28, 35, 48, 65, 100 and 200, together with a top cover and bottom pan. Extra sieves and other sizes of sieves are available from stock. The wet screen analysis adapter kit consists of a special top cover and funnel attachment for bottom pan.A time switch can be supplied for stopping the mechanism at any pre¬determined time interval up to thirty minutes. This is essential when stand¬ardizing and making comparative screen analyses.
